We set up shop in Shriram Samrudhi Apartments, which is right on the busy Whitefield Main Road. Specifically, we're in unit B 502. If you know Bangalore, you know how Whitefield is always packed with cars and people going to work. Living and working out of an apartment complex makes things a bit more relaxed than being in a massive tech park. We see the same security guards and neighbors every morning. It’s a comfortable space. We started Ernestine Consultants because we had some ideas and needed a place to sit down and focus. The 5th floor gives us a bit of a view, though it's mostly other buildings and the traffic below. We don’t have a big reception desk or a sign out front. It’s just an apartment where we do our consulting work. Sometimes the elevator takes a while, so we just wait and chat. Whitefield has grown so much since we first came here. It used to be a lot quieter. Now, there are shops and cafes everywhere you look. We usually grab lunch at one of the small places nearby. It’s not a fancy corporate life, but it suits us just fine. We handle our meetings and paperwork right from the dining table or the spare room. It keeps things simple and low-key. Being in Bangalore 37 means we are in the middle of everything without being swallowed by a giant office building. It is just home and work together for us.
