Emgees Restaurant

We've been at No.73 in the Hotel Shelton Grand for a while now. Most people know us because we're near Gangarams and the old Deccan Herald office on M G Road. It's a busy spot in 560001. We just keep things running here at Emgees Restaurant. It’s not fancy, but it works for us. The staff knows most of the regulars by name. Some days it’s packed with people coming off the main road, and other days it’s a bit quieter. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables. Being in this part of town means there’s always something going on outside our windows. We see a lot of people passing through every single day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but we stay open and just do what we do. If you’re walking past the hotel, you’ll see our sign. It's just a regular place where you can sit down and have a meal without a lot of fuss. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just us here on M G Road. Sometimes the traffic is a mess right outside, but that’s just how it is around here. We like being part of the local scene. There's no big story, just a lot of hard work and making sure the tables are wiped down and the kitchen is ready. People come in, eat, and go about their day. We're just glad to be here at this address. We’ve had the same chairs for years and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to us.
