Eagle Metal Industries is right in the middle of the city at 10 Sadar Patrappa Road. Most people just call it SP Road. We are tucked into G R N Lane. If you have ever been to SP Road, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes can be. It is a constant buzz of people and carts. Our place at number 10 is small but we pack a lot into it. Dealing with metal means things are heavy and often a bit dirty. We do not have any fancy displays. It is just stacks of material and the tools we need to work with them. G R N Lane is one of those spots where you really have to know where you are going or you will miss it. We have been operating here for a long time. It is a traditional way of doing business, face to face in a busy market lane. The noise from the main road carries in, but we are used to it by now. It is not an office for sitting around in suits. We are usually wearing work clothes and getting our hands dirty. Sometimes the power goes out or the lane gets blocked by a delivery, and we just wait it out. It is a very local, very real part of the Bangalore trade scene. We just keep doing our work, one day at a time, right here in the heart of the metal market.
