E K Pipes & Scraps

Dasarahalli Midc 12 is an industrial kind of place, so it’s always loud with trucks and machinery. Our yard at E K Pipes & Scraps is full of metal. We handle all kinds of pipes, some new and some that have seen better days. There’s a lot of heavy lifting involved every day, and we use the crane quite a bit to move the bigger stacks around. It’s a dirty job, and our clothes usually end up stained with rust or grease by lunch time. We take in scrap metal from various places, sort it out, and pile it up in the corners. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but we have a logic to where everything goes. The guys here are used to the hard work and the noise. We drink a lot of water because it gets hot under the tin roof of the shed. Sometimes a contractor comes in looking for a specific length of pipe, and we have to go hunting through the inventory to find it. It’s not always easy to find exactly what’s needed in the middle of all that iron and steel. We’ve been operating in this spot for a while now. The neighbors are all doing similar industrial work, so we all know each other well enough. It’s a straightforward business. We weigh things, move things, and keep the yard moving. That’s what a day looks like for us.
