Durga Home Food

Our place, Durga Home Food, is tucked away at No.54 D Blk in Yelahanka. It is a quiet part of Trimallapa Nagar. We started doing this because we just liked cooking at home, and then people in Attur Lyt began asking if they could buy some of our meals. It isn't a fancy shop with big glass windows or anything like that. We just use our own kitchen. 560064 is where we spend most of our day. The morning starts early with the sound of the pressure cooker and the smell of spices filling the house. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the kitchen when we have too many orders to finish. My sister helps with the packing while I handle the stove. We try to keep things simple and use what we have. It’s not always perfect. Sometimes a delivery takes longer because the traffic around Yelahanka is getting worse every year. We don't have a big sign outside. Most people just know the house number, No.54. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren't from this side of town, but the regulars don't seem to mind. We aren't looking to become a huge company. We just want to keep making food the way we know how. It’s a small, local thing. 560064 is our home. We are just regular people making lunch and dinner for the neighborhood.
