Dowac Green Tech

Our workshop is at number 13 on the 12th Cross in Maruthi Nagar. It’s right near the Nagashetty Halli Ring Road, so we get a lot of that traffic noise all day. We do a lot of work with green technology, which usually means the place is full of solar panels, water pipes, and strange-looking metal frames. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time, with tools scattered across the workbenches and wires hanging from the ceiling. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up, trying to fix a pump or weld a bracket. The floor is stained with all sorts of things, and there’s usually a thin layer of dust from the construction work nearby. We spend a lot of time arguing about how to make something work better or more efficiently. It’s a small shop, so we all know each other’s business. When the sun hits the ring road, the heat really builds up in the back of the workshop, so we keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze we can. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like the technical side of things and being able to build stuff with our hands. We usually wrap things up when it gets too dark to see what we’re doing and the traffic on the ring road starts to crawl.
