I’m based out of Bangalore, right in the 560001 area. It’s the heart of the city, so there’s always something happening. I spend most of my time around music and gear. Being a DJ isn't just about playing tracks; it's a lot of carrying heavy speakers and cables around. My car is usually full of equipment. I don't have a big fancy office with a receptionist. It's mostly just me and my setup. I started doing this because I liked the music, and now it’s my job. Bangalore has a lot of energy, and I try to bring that whenever I’m working a gig. I’ve played at all sorts of places, from small house parties to bigger halls. I don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what I do. I just turn up, set the equipment up, and play. Sometimes the gear acts up or a cable goes bad, and I have to fix it on the fly. That’s just part of it. I spend a lot of time listening to new stuff and organizing my library so I’m ready for whatever the crowd wants. It’s a lot of late nights and driving through Bangalore traffic, which everyone knows is a bit of a nightmare. But I’m used to it by now. I just focus on the sound and making sure the volume is right for the room. I’ve been doing this for long enough that I don’t get nervous anymore, I just get to work.
