Our place is on Sadar Patrappa Road, specifically in Venkataramana Nayak Lane at 17/2. Everyone around here just calls it S.P. Road. It is one of the busiest spots you can imagine, with narrow lanes and people moving everywhere all day long. We deal in steel and various metals. It’s a cramped space because metal takes up a lot of room and the lanes here weren't built for big loads or trucks. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading stuff while trying not to block the whole lane and upset the neighbors. The office is just a small corner where we keep the ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days. It’s loud from morning until night with the sound of carts and people shouting. We’ve been in this lane for a good while, so we know all the other shop owners and the tea sellers. We aren't a corporate office; we are just a metal shop. There’s a lot of grease and metal shavings around, and our hands are rarely clean at the end of the day. We just focus on getting the right metal to the right person. If someone needs a specific pipe or a sheet of copper, we go find it in the stacks. It’s a bit chaotic, but it works for us. We don’t have a website that works right half the time, so most people just walk in or yell through the door.
