Devisri Steels

Out here in Kodigehalli, things are a bit slower than the city. We are located at 41308, near the post office in Jarod. Devisri Steels is basically a yard full of metal rods and sheets. It gets dusty because the trucks come and go all day on the dirt roads. We deal with construction steel for the local builders and people fixing up their houses. The sun gets really hot in the afternoon, so we usually sit under the tin roof of the shed. There is a lot of clanging noise when we load the trucks. The inventory is always changing. One day we have too much, the next day we are waiting for a delivery. We’ve been at this spot for a while. The ground is covered in scrap bits and red soil. We don't have fancy computers, just a big ledger where we write everything down. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat or ask for a bit of wire. It’s a quiet village mostly, except for when the heavy lorries are turning. We have a small water cooler for the workers. You have to drive past the main post office to find us. It’s a lot of hard work lifting and moving heavy bars, but it’s what we do. The rain is the only thing that slows us down because the yard gets quite slippery.
