We work out of the Venkatappa Building over in the Shampur area of Bangalore. It’s a pretty standard building, nothing too flashy on the outside. We’ve been set up here for a while, dealing with the daily tasks that come with being in the financial sector. Even though the name sounds big and formal, our local office feels much more like a regular neighborhood workplace. We have a group of staff who come in every morning, park their bikes, and get straight to work. The office can be quite busy during the middle of the month when everyone has things they need to get sorted. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure all the forms are filled out right. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and talking to people who come in with questions. We try to be helpful without making things overly complicated. The area around Shampur is lively, and there's always somewhere to grab a quick bite during lunch. We don't have those fancy break rooms you see on TV. We just have a small corner for water and some snacks. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t pretend to be anything we aren’t. We are just here to do a job and help the people who rely on us in this part of Bangalore. It’s a straightforward, busy life for all of us here in this building.
