Desksupport

If you find yourself in Vattolibazar, near Balussery in the Calicut district, you’ll find our spot called Desksupport. The house is named Anugraha, and that’s where we handle all the technical help that comes our way. It’s a quiet part of Kerala, 673623, with plenty of greenery and trees around the building. We don't have a high-tech call center with hundreds of people in headsets. It’s just a couple of us with our laptops and phones, trying to figure out why someone’s software isn't working or why their internet connection is acting up. The office is really just a converted room in the house. We have a lot of cables running along the floor, which we should probably tidy up one of these days before someone trips. People from the local area sometimes just walk up to the porch if they have a problem with their phones or devices. It’s very informal and relaxed. We usually have the windows open to let the breeze in, though that means we occasionally get a few bugs flying around the screens at night when the lights are on. We’ve been at Anugraha for a while now and everyone in the village knows who we are. It’s a steady life. We solve problems, talk to customers, and try to make sure everyone stays connected. It’s practical, local support for people who don't want to deal with big automated menus.
