Delmon Metal Crafts

Delmon Metal Crafts is situated over at No.633 on the ground floor in Koramangala. Being on 80 Ft Road near the passport office means there are always crowds of people standing around outside, which makes parking a bit of a nightmare for us. The shop itself is filled with the smell of metal and the sound of various hand tools hitting surfaces. We do a lot of the work right there in the KR Garden area, so anyone walking by can hear us tapping away. It is not a quiet office job by any means. We have shelves lined with different pieces we've worked on, and there’s usually a thin layer of dust on everything despite our best efforts to keep it clean. Our staff members have been working with their hands for years, and you can see it in the calluses and the way they handle the heavy metal sheets. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a handful of us making sure the crafts come out looking right. The light inside isn’t the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. When the passport office gets busy, the noise from the street filters in, but we just keep our heads down and focus on the metal in front of us. It’s a practical way to spend the day, and we prefer it over sitting behind a computer screen in some tall building. We just enjoy the process of making things by hand.
