Running Deepa Telelinks over here in Yeshwantpur at the H. A. Market has its moments. We are right at Kapasia Bazar 135, which means there is almost always noise from the market outside. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when three or four people are standing inside at once, but that’s just how market shops are. We mostly deal with talk time, new connections, and the occasional phone that’s acting up. My hands are usually a bit dirty from taking things apart or just handling boxes. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting, then suddenly everyone wants something at the same time. The market is an old place, so everything feels a bit worn down, but it’s got a good feel to it. You get to know the other shopkeepers around here. We talk about the weather or the price of things while we’re standing out front. There’s no air conditioning, so we just keep the fans going and hope for a breeze. People come in asking for help with their settings or a screen guard that isn’t peeling off. We don't have some big corporate plan, we just want to make sure the person leaving the shop is okay with what they got. It’s a basic setup. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and the address hasn't changed, even if the signs around us have. It’s just how we do things in the market day after day.
