Yeshwanthpur is always noisy. We're right at the 5th mile on Tumkur Road. Deccan Leather Fashions has been in this spot for a while now. The building is number 42. Most days it’s just about handling the leather pieces and making sure the orders are ready. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workspace with tables and tools. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to close the front shutters. If you’re coming from the city side, you’ll see the 5th mile stone and then our place is right there. We don't have a big reception area. Most people who come here are just looking for specific leather things. It’s practical work. My desk is near the back. The leather smell is everywhere, you get used to it after a few days. We try to keep things organized but when we’re busy, there are scraps on the floor and piles of stuff waiting to be packed. It’s a normal day-to-day business. We don't do much advertising. People just find us or they’ve known us for years. The tea stall down the road is where we usually go for breaks. It’s a simple setup at number 42. Nothing more to it really. Just us working and trying to stay on top of the schedule. We have some old machines that make a lot of noise, but they still work fine for what we need to do.
