D D Metal sits right on Jamfal Wadi Canal Road, number 9. We are part of the Ganigarpet Five Estate. It is a noisy area with a lot of manufacturing going on. Our shop is full of scrap and raw materials. You can hear the machines running from the street. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. It’s not a clean environment, there is grease and metal shavings everywhere. But that is just the nature of the work we do. We don't have a front desk or a lobby. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find someone in the back wearing an apron. We don't have a lot of workers, just a tight group that knows how to handle the tools. Most of our customers have been with us since the beginning. They know the way to the Canal Road and they know we don't do things fast, we just do them right. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things outside for a bit. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. We don’t bother with advertisements or social media. Word of mouth usually brings people to Ganigarpet. If the gate is open, we are working. If it’s raining, the canal road gets a bit muddy, so watch your step. We just keep our heads down and get the metal work finished. It gets loud and hot in the summer, but we just drink plenty of water and keep moving.
