You can find us at 115 Vrg Market right on O.K. Road in Kumbarpet. This area is always loud and full of people moving goods around, which suits us just fine. The shop has been in the family for a long time. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep as much stock on hand as possible. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes you have to move a few boxes just to find a place to sit. It isn’t the most modern place, but it works for what we do. My brothers and I handle most of the daily stuff ourselves. Customers come in and out, some looking for specific items and others just checking prices. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or writing out receipts by hand. The market gets very dusty, especially in the summer heat, but we keep the fans going. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the storefront and the sign outside that’s been there for years. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s regular work and it keeps the family together. If the door is open, someone is usually there to see what you need from the shelves.
