Colour Decors

Nagarbhavi 2nd Stage 1st Cross 88 is where we do all the prep work for the events. Colour Decors isn't a massive operation, just a local shop where we store a lot of cloth, ribbons, and artificial flowers. The walls inside are lined with shelves that are overflowing with different shades of fabric. We spend a lot of time untangling fairy lights and ironing out the wrinkles in the backdrops. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There’s always thread on the floor and pieces of foam cut-outs in the corners. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most people just come to the back and look at the samples we have lying around. The 1st Cross is a bit quieter than the main road, which is nice when we’re trying to concentrate on a specific design. We use old trucks to move our stuff, and they groan every time we load them up with the heavy wooden frames. It’s just a few of us working here, often staying late if there’s a big function the next morning. We don't talk about visions or concepts, we just try to make the place look decent with what we've got. If a customer wants something specific, we see if we can find it in the market or sew it ourselves. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of carrying things, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this address for years and people know the spot.
