Madiwala is one of those places in Bangalore that is always on the move, and we are right there on Hosur Main Road. Our office is at 119 in the MH Mari Gowda Building. It is a very busy area with buses and trucks constantly passing by. Coll-Eff Facility Services is basically about keeping buildings running. We coordinate maintenance and cleaning for different places around the city. Our office is our home base where we manage all the schedules and take calls. It is a plain, practical space without any fancy decorations. We have a big table where we sit and figure out who needs to go where. We don't have a fancy coffee machine, just a kettle for tea. The noise from the main road is something you just get used to after a few days. Most of our staff are out at different sites, so the office is often quiet except for the phones. We aren't a big corporate entity with a lot of rules. We just work together to solve problems as they come up. If a pipe bursts or the power goes out somewhere, we are the ones who get the call. It is hands-on work that requires a lot of patience. We have been in Madiwala for a while and we know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the traffic. It is just a regular job for regular people.
