Cogent View

We are tucked away in Jayanagar 9th Block, specifically in Shahu Colony Lane No 8, Karve Nagar B-12. It’s a bit of a long address for such a small place like Cogent View. The office is basically one large room with some partitions we put up ourselves to make separate desk spaces. We have some green plants in pots near the window, but we often forget to water them, so they look a bit sad. Most of our time is spent sitting in those swivel chairs that squeak every time you move. We deal with a lot of paperwork and digital files, so there are stacks of folders everywhere. The walls are mostly bare except for a calendar from two years ago that nobody bothered to take down. It’s a quiet lane, so we don’t get much noise from the main road, which is nice for concentrating. Sometimes we go out to the small balcony to get some air and watch the birds on the power lines. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who have known each other for a long time. The kitchen area is just a hot plate and a jar of instant coffee. We usually eat our lunch at our desks while reading the news. It is not a flashy place, but it serves us well enough for the work we do. We like the fact that it feels more like a home than a strict office.
