If you head down M K K Road in Lakshmi Narayan Puram, you will find us right near Devaiah Park. We are located just across from Shanthi Sagar, so we usually smell the food from there around lunchtime. Our place is mostly filled with the heavy scent of cut timber and wood polish. There is always sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep it up throughout the day. We have got stacks of plywood and different types of wood leaning against the walls. It is a bit cramped inside because wood takes up a lot of room. People come in looking for something specific for their homes, maybe a new door or some planks for a cupboard they are building. We spend a lot of time measuring things out and showing customers the different grains of the wood. It is a messy business, and our hands are usually stained with varnish or a bit rough from handling the raw materials. We do not have a fancy catalog; we just show people what we have in stock at the moment. The traffic on M K K Road can be a nightmare sometimes, especially in the evenings, but we are used to the noise. It is a family-run sort of vibe here in L N Puram. We are not trying to be a big mall. We just sell wood and help people figure out what they need for their carpentry work. (245 words)
