Classic Telecom

Classic Telecom is right in the middle of the rush at Gandhi Nagar. We are in the National Market on the 5th Main at number 38. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with people looking for electronics. We’ve been here since mobile phones were big bulky things. Now everything is slim and breaks easily. We do a lot of repairs and sell different parts and accessories. It’s a small shop, so we are often standing behind the counter all day. There isn't much room to move around with all the display cases and boxes of chargers. It gets very loud with all the shouting from the street and other shopkeepers. We usually have the radio playing to drown out some of the noise. Dealing with customers can be tiring because everyone is in a hurry and wants their phone fixed in ten minutes. We try our best but sometimes the parts take time to arrive. It’s a fast-paced environment and you have to be quick. After work, the whole market smells like street food, which is nice. We don't have any corporate rules here, we just talk to people plainly and fix what we can. It’s a tough business with so much competition nearby, but we’ve managed to stay at 38 for a long time because we just keep at it every day.
