Citizen Supermarket

Citizen Supermarket is located at 221, 4th Cross. We’re on the 4th Main in Vivek Nagar, Bangalore. The police station is right nearby, so it’s a safe enough spot. Vivek Nagar has a lot of character. Our shop is a bit of a local landmark for the people on this street. We aren’t a giant chain. We’re just a neighborhood supermarket. We have most things people need for their kitchens and homes. The aisles can get a bit tight when the morning delivery arrives. You might see us dragging crates of milk or bags of rice across the floor. We don't have uniforms or those plastic name tags. We're just the same faces you see every day. Bangalore is growing so fast, but we try to keep things simple here. The floor tiles are a bit worn out from all the feet walking over them. We don't have a fancy mission statement. We just want to make sure the shelves aren't empty when people come in after work. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a truck, and it gets a bit chaotic. That's just how it is in this part of town. We’ve been here for a long time and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. It's a busy life, but it’s our life.
