Citi Food Centre

Citi Food Centre is tucked away in the Murugeshpalya Patel Industrial Estate on Yamuna Mil Road 20. Being in an industrial estate means our days are mostly timed around the shifts of the people working in the nearby factories and offices. It is a bit of a gray area with lots of concrete and trucks moving around all the time. Our shop at number 20 is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a practical space, mostly filled with food items that move fast. We don’t spend money on big signs or anything fancy because the workers around Yamuna Mil Road know where we are. Usually, the mornings are spent getting the fresh stuff in and making sure the counters are wiped down. The Patel Industrial Estate can be a loud place, but inside the shop, it’s a bit more quiet until the lunch rush hits. We have to be quick then because people don't have much time on their breaks. It is a lot of standing on our feet and moving boxes from the back to the front. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and we know the rhythms of the street. It is just a basic food centre, nothing more and nothing less. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right and making sure the lights stay on at number 20.
