Chowdeshwari Kalayna Mantapa

This hall is tucked away in Yelahanka, right near the Chowdeshwari Temple. Most people find us because they are going to the temple anyway. It’s a good location for a wedding or a big family gathering because everyone knows the landmark. The building itself has been around for a bit. It’s not a five-star hotel, but it serves the purpose for local families who want a place to celebrate. I handle a lot of the bookings and talk to the families. It’s a lot of work getting the place ready before a big function. We have to make sure the floor is swept and the lights are all working. Sometimes the decorators come in and change the whole look of the place. It’s interesting to see. The area around the temple is usually quite peaceful, except when there is a big festival going on. Then it gets really crowded and we have to manage the parking and everything. We just try to help the families have their event without too much trouble. It’s a simple life working here. You see a lot of happy faces and sometimes a bit of stress from the parents of the bride. We just give them the keys and let them do their thing. It’s been a part of this community for a long time now. Just a basic hall for people who need a space to gather and celebrate together without any fuss.
