Chiranjeevi Transports

Our transport business is based in Banaswadi, right at number 2. It’s not a very big office, just a small room where we keep the records and the keys for the trucks. We have a small yard where the vehicles are parked when they aren't out on a run. You can usually find a couple of drivers hanging around the entrance, drinking tea and waiting for their next trip to be cleared. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, checking where the drivers are or talking to people about where their goods need to go. Banaswadi has changed a lot, but we have stayed in this same spot for a while. The walls are covered with old calendars and maps of the local routes. There is always a bit of dust from the road coming in, and the furniture is pretty worn out from years of use. We don't have any fancy tracking screens or high-tech setups. We just use our ledgers and our phones to keep track of everything. It’s a practical way to run things. We know the roads well and we know how long it takes to get across the city during the rush hour. Sometimes the trucks need repairs, so there is often someone poking around an engine in the back. It’s just us, the trucks, and the daily grind of moving things from one side of town to the other. We just keep moving.
