Chin Lung Bar Restaurant is at No.30 on Residency Road in Bangalore. This part of Bangalore has a lot of history, and we’ve been sitting here on Residency Road for quite a long time. It’s a place that many locals know well because of its location. We aren't a modern, flashy lounge with neon lights and loud music; we are a bit more old-school and simple. The building has some character, and we try to keep it up, though it takes a lot of effort to maintain an older spot. Every day we are checking the stock, cleaning the bar area, and getting ready for the regulars who come in after work. Residency Road is always packed with cars and people, so there is never a dull moment outside our windows. We don't have a big mission statement; we just open the doors and do our jobs. Sometimes the weather in Bangalore is great, and sometimes the rain causes leaks or traffic jams, and we just work around it. Our staff is a small group that has been around for years. We know the quirks of the building and the preferences of the people who visit us. It’s a lot of manual labor and staying late to close up, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid, local spot on one of the city's busiest roads. We just keep our heads down and keep the place running as best as we can.
