Cheran Transport

We’re located at 305/1 Vanivilas Road, right across from Hotel Prakash Cafe. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the cafe. Our office is usually busy with drivers coming in to pick up their schedules or drop off their logbooks. We handle a lot of transport work, mostly moving goods from one place to another. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on where the trucks are at any given moment. The road outside is always full of traffic, which makes it a noisy place to work. I’ve been in the transport business for a long time. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights. The office isn't much to look at, just some old desks and a bunch of clipboards. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. People know us because they see our name on the side of the vehicles or they’ve been using us for years. Sometimes things go wrong, like a tire blowing out or a delay at a checkpoint, and we just have to deal with it as it happens. We mostly just focus on getting things moved from point A to point B. It’s a gritty job and you get your hands dirty sometimes, but we keep at it day after day. Having the cafe across the street is nice for a quick tea break when things get too hectic in the afternoon. We just keep the trucks moving and try to stay on schedule as best we can.
