Chefs Catering & Event Management

This business runs out of S Susheela Nivas, which is No. 406 on the 5th Cross in Kodigehalli. We are tucked away in JRD Tata Nagar. It’s a bit of a residential area, so it’s not like a big storefront you’d see on a main highway. Most of what we do is catering for events around Bangalore. We have a lot of equipment stored here and we spend most of our time planning how to get everything to the next venue. Event management sounds like a big title, but mostly it's just us making sure the chairs are there and the food doesn't go cold. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so setting up here made sense. It's a bit of a squeeze when we are loading up the trucks early in the morning, and I’m sure the neighbors wonder what all the noise is about sometimes. We handle small gatherings and some bigger ones too, though we prefer the ones where we can actually talk to the people. It is a lot of logistics, like checking lists and making sure we didn't forget the serving spoons. The kitchen part is where most of the work happens, obviously. Kodigehalli is changing fast, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company in town. We just want to do a decent job for the people who hire us.
