Chander Sound & Light House

We are Chander Sound & Light House, located at Ramaswamy Palya 108. If you walk past our place, you will see piles of black speakers, metal stands, and rolls of thick cables. We have been in this spot for many years. Our work is mainly providing the sound and lighting for local functions, weddings, and small festivals. It is a very physical job. We spend a lot of time loading all this heavy equipment onto the back of small tempos. Then we have to go to the venue and set everything up. Wiring is the hardest part because things always seem to get tangled no matter how careful we are. The shop itself is more like a big garage. We don't have a showroom. People just come here when they need gear for an event and we try to make things work for the budget they have. We test the speakers in the afternoons, which makes a lot of noise. The neighbors are used to it by now, I think. We have some old lights that we keep fixing up, and some newer ones too. During the wedding season, we are out almost every night. It’s tiring work, especially the part where we have to pack everything back up at midnight after the party is over. But it keeps us busy. We are just a local crew doing what we know. We don’t have fancy brochures. Most people find us because they saw our lights somewhere else.
