Champion Steel Furniture

Champion Steel Furniture is located right at the corner of Pettigrew Street and Makkan Road Cross, off Magadi Main Road. We’ve been at number 54 for quite a while now. The shop is full of metal—desks, cupboards, racks, you name it. It can get pretty loud when we’re moving things around or when the delivery trucks are loading up. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the steel pieces stacked up against the walls. We don't have a showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets. It’s more of a working warehouse where you can see exactly what you’re getting. The air usually smells a bit like paint and metal, which is something you get used to after working here for a week. We deal with people who need sturdy stuff that lasts. It’s not the most glamorous business, but steel is reliable, and so are we. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving heavy items and making sure everything is bolted together right. The neighborhood is busy, and we’re right in the thick of it. Sometimes we’re so busy we don't have time to tidy up the front office area, but we know where everything is. If someone needs a solid cupboard for their home or office, they usually find their way to us. We’ve been doing this long enough to know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to furniture. It’s just an honest day's work for us and it keeps us moving forward every week.
