The smell of spices often drifts into our workspace around lunchtime, which makes everyone pretty hungry. Austin Town is a lively neighborhood, and there is always something going on outside our gates. Our facility is more of a practical industrial site than anything else. We don't have a manicured lawn or a glass-fronted entrance. It’s mostly just brick walls and the sound of work being done. We’ve been part of this community for quite a while now. The people who work here are mostly locals who walk or take the bus to get in. We don't talk about grand strategies or high-level goals. We just focus on the production schedule and making sure the machines are running as they should. Sometimes things go wrong, a delivery is late or a part snaps, and we just have to deal with it on the fly. It’s a down-to-earth environment where people speak their minds. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the guys at the biryani joint. It’s a regular way to make a living, and we don’t try to pretend it’s anything more than that. We just show up and do the work.
