Center Stage

You'll find us over at 3 Richmond Town, right near the back gate of Baldwin Boys School. It’s a pretty quiet area most of the time, except when school lets out and the street gets packed with cars and kids. We’ve been in this building for a while now. It has high ceilings and some old wooden floors that creak when you walk on them. We spend a lot of our time setting things up and moving furniture around. Depending on what’s happening that day, the space looks completely different from one morning to the next. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. We prefer to keep the walls plain so the focus is on whatever is going on in the center of the room. Sometimes we’re painting props or just cleaning up after a long day. It’s a lot of physical work that people don’t usually see. We get a lot of light through the front windows in the morning, which is nice for working. Richmond Town is a good place to be because everything is close by. We usually grab lunch from one of the small shops around the corner. We don’t really do much in the way of promotion. The people who need to find us usually know where the school gate is, so they find their way here eventually. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, but we like it that way. It gives us room to work and think without too many distractions from the main road.
