Cavery Uphara

The shop is on Cubbonpet Main Road, number 215. It is a busy street and there is always something going on outside our door. We start very early in the morning to get the kitchen ready. You can hear the sounds of the pots and pans clanking from the back. People stop by on their way to work to get a quick bite or a coffee. It is a small place, so it gets crowded pretty fast. There are no fancy chairs or tables, just a spot to stand and eat. We spend the whole day on our feet, serving one person after another. The steam from the large vessels makes the air thick, especially when it is raining outside. Cubbonpet is an old area and our building has been here for a long time. We know the neighbors and the people who work in the nearby shops. Sometimes we run out of things by the afternoon if it has been a particularly busy day. We don't do any big promotions. We just keep the stove going and the floors swept. It is a lot of work to keep up with the morning rush, but we are used to it by now. The routine stays the same from Monday to Sunday. We just keep serving what we have and chatting with the people who come in. That is how we have always done things here.
