Cauvery Sheet Metal Works

Cauvery Sheet Metal Works is located at 129 Seshadripuram Sahayog Park, right near the Indian Oil petrol bunk. You can’t miss us because there’s usually the sound of metal being cut or hammered coming from our shop. We work almost exclusively with sheet metal, making all sorts of things like air ducts, metal boxes, and roofing components. It’s a very manual process here. We have some heavy machines for bending and shearing the metal, but a lot of the finishing is done by hand. The shop is quite loud and can get pretty dusty with all the grinding and filing we do. We don't have a fancy front office, just the workshop where all the action happens. Most of our customers are local contractors or small business owners who need something specific made to a certain size. We don't use high-tech design software, usually we just mark things out with a chalk or a scribe on the metal itself. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Our hands have their fair share of cuts and we’re usually covered in a bit of metal dust by the time we close up. We’ve been in Seshadripuram for a long time and have a steady flow of work. It’s a basic, honest trade and we just focus on getting the pieces right for whoever walks through the door.
