Cauvery Furnitures

The workshop for Cauvery Furnitures is located at 120 Hanumanth Nagar on the 17th Cross. We are on the 50 Feet Road, not too far from the KumaraSwamy Temple. You can usually hear us before you see us because there is often the sound of saws or hammers going. We work with wood all day long, so there is always a bit of sawdust on our clothes and in the air. We make different kinds of chairs, tables, and cabinets for people’s homes. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a place where things actually get built by hand. We have piles of timber stacked in the corners and various tools scattered across the workbenches. People come in to see what we have or to ask if we can make something specific for their house. We take our time with the work because you can't rush wood. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road for a few minutes while we load up a heavy cupboard. We know the local people well since we’ve been in this spot for years. The smell of wood polish and cut timber is something we are very used to. It’s a messy job sometimes, but we like seeing a finished piece of furniture ready to go out the door. It’s just a small team of us working here every day. We just keep working until the sun goes down.
