Carbon Interiors

Our workshop is on Khoja Galli 6 in Nagashettyhalli. It’s a narrow street, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze when we have materials arriving. Carbon Interiors is really just a group of us who enjoy working with our hands. You’ll hear the sound of saws and sanding machines from the street before you even see the sign. The floor is usually covered in sawdust by noon, no matter how many times we sweep it up. We have a small corner with a couple of chairs where we sit down to look at drawings or talk about the next job. It’s not a showroom; it’s a place where things actually get built. The walls are lined with scraps of wood and jars of different screws and nails. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the street gets really quiet except for our lights. We know the local chai wallah by name, and he knows exactly how much sugar we like. We don't have a fancy website or a big office staff. If you call, one of us will pick up the phone with dusty hands. It’s just how we operate. We like the feeling of finishing something and seeing it ready to go out the door. It is hard work, but seeing a finished piece of furniture sitting there makes the long hours feel like they were worth the trouble.
