Calcutta Ispat

We are over here at 9/C T Dasarahalli, right near the Chokkasandra Kere lake. If you know the New Agarwal Bhavan, we are just tucked in near that spot in H S R Layout. We handle a lot of steel and iron stuff every day. It’s mostly just us moving heavy materials around the yard and making sure the counts are right. The dust gets everywhere, especially when the wind kicks up off the water, but we’re used to it. Most of the people who come to see us are local builders or guys working on house renovations around this side of town. It is not the kind of place with a lobby or anything like that. Just a simple setup where we keep the stock. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the bundles of rebar. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes around here, so we have to help guide them in. It’s busy work, but it keeps us going. We’ve been in this location for a good bit now, so we know the neighborhood pretty well. If the weather is bad, things slow down, but usually, we are just out there getting the orders ready for whoever needs them. It’s a practical business, nothing too complicated about it. We just try to keep enough stock so people don't have to wait too long for their metal.
