Brindavan Furnitures

Brindavan Furnitures is over on 13 Banaswadi Church Street. It’s a narrow street, so parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you bring a big vehicle, but we manage. The shop is full of things we’ve put together, and there’s usually a thin layer of wood shavings on the floor by the end of the day. We try to sweep it up, but it always comes back. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name on the door so people know they’re in the right place. Most of our tools are pretty old, but they still work just fine for what we need to do. It’s a noisy place with the sawing and hammering, so we don't do much talking while we’re working. Church Street has a lot of little shops like ours, so there’s always a bit of life on the sidewalk. People stop in to ask about a chair leg or a cupboard door, and we see what we can do. We don't have a catalog for people to look at. We just show them what’s in the back or what we’re currently working on. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if our hands are always dirty from the stain and the wood. We’ve been in Banaswadi for a long time, and the locals know where to find us. It’s just a small shop doing regular work for regular people.
