Peenya Industrial Area is a tough place to work sometimes, with all the heat and the constant sound of metal on metal. Bright India Steel Industries is located at 41 Byraveshwara Industrial Estate, right near the 2nd Stage. It’s an industrial zone, so don't expect any gardens or quiet parks around here. The air is always a bit thick with the smell of grease and iron. We spend most of our time on the shop floor, dealing with whatever needs fixing or making. The building is a large shed-like structure, and it gets quite hot under the roof when the sun is directly overhead. We have some heavy machinery that’s been with us for years, and it needs a lot of looking after to keep it running right. There are trucks moving in and out of the estate all day long, so you have to be careful when you’re walking across the yard. We usually eat our lunch sitting on some crates or at the small table in the corner office. It’s hard work, and your hands are usually dirty by ten in the morning. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist; if you want someone, you just have to shout over the noise. It’s just the way things are done in Peenya. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to get everything finished before the power cuts or the day ends.
