Diamond Cabs

Diamond Cabs has been running out of this spot on Begur Road for quite a while now. We are at number 101/32, which is really close to the Government Hospital in Bommanahalli. It is a busy area, especially with all the ambulances and people heading to work every morning. Our office isn’t much to look at, just some desks, old chairs, and phone lines that never seem to stop ringing. The drivers usually hang around the front when they aren't on a call, drinking tea from the stall next door and chatting. We know these roads very well, even when the traffic gets bad near the hospital junction. It is a 24-hour job, so there is always someone sitting here, even in the middle of the night. We started with just a couple of cars and slowly added more as things got busier over the years. The walls are covered with old maps and duty rosters that we update with a thick marker. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when many people call at once, but we manage to sort it out. We don't do any fancy advertising. People just know us because we’ve been on this corner for years. The rain usually floods the road a bit in front of the gate, so we spend time sweeping water away during the monsoon. It is just regular work, keeping the cars moving and getting people where they need to go without too much fuss.
