The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Company office is over on K. H. Road in Shantinagar. This is where a lot of the administrative stuff happens for the buses you see all over the city. It’s a big, busy place, which makes sense given how many routes we have to keep track of. Shantinagar is always moving, and K. H. Road is usually packed with vehicles at almost every hour. Inside the office, it’s mostly about paperwork, schedules, and managing the staff who keep the buses running. It isn't a quiet environment. There is always someone coming in with a report or a question about a route change. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit here and there. It’s a government-run setup, so things follow a specific rhythm. You’ll see people in uniform and plenty of desks piled with files. We don't have fancy decorations or modern lounge areas. It’s just rows of people working on computers or talking on the phone to different depots. The smell of diesel from the nearby station sometimes drifts in when the wind is right. It’s a very functional space meant for hard work. Keeping the city moving takes a lot of coordination, and this building is the hub for all that daily effort.
