We are based out of the Administration Block right at the Bengaluru International Airport. Our work happens behind the scenes, away from the terminals and the gates where all the travelers are. Being at BIAL means we are part of the huge machine that keeps the planes moving and the airport running 24 hours a day. You can always hear the faint sound of engines in the distance, and there’s a constant energy about the place. In the admin block, we deal with the logistics, the planning, and all the mundane stuff that makes an airport function. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between different departments and making sure the paperwork matches up with what’s happening on the ground. The commute out to the airport is long for most of us, but you get used to the drive after a few months. We aren't the ones you see in uniforms at the check-in counters. We’re the ones in the office chairs, looking at screens and talking on radios or phones. It’s a busy environment and there’s always something that needs fixing or an update that needs to be shared. We don't really have downtime because an airport never really sleeps. It’s just us, the coffee machine, and the endless list of tasks that keep the whole operation from slowing down. We just keep our heads down and get through the shift.
