Bohra Fabrication

We are located at number 4 in M. R. R. Lane, just off Avenue Road. It’s near the City Market, so you can imagine how busy the street is. There are always carts and people pushing past each other. Bohra Fabrication is a small shop, and you can usually hear us before you see us. The sound of the metal saw and the welding machine is constant throughout the day. We work on all kinds of things like window grills, iron gates, and small frames. It’s dirty work. Our clothes usually have a few holes from the sparks and our hands are always stained with grease. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. Customers just walk into the workshop and show us what they need. We take our measurements with a worn-out tape and write them down on the wall or a scrap of paper. Sometimes the lane gets so crowded that we have to wait for people to move just to get a long iron bar inside. It’s a bit of a struggle, but it’s where we have always been. We aren't fancy people. We just know how to join metal together so it stays joined. Most of our tools have been with us for years. We do a lot of work for the houses and shops nearby. It’s just honest labor, and we take pride in a gate that swings straight.
