Bismillah Tent House

Running a place like Bismillah Tent House keeps us on our feet. We are located over at Basavanagudi Shankarnagar, right by Kapodara Char Rasta 25. It is a busy spot. We handle a lot of equipment like poles, heavy canvas, and chairs. If there is a function happening nearby, we are usually the ones loading up the rickshaw with supplies. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot or it’s raining. We have piles of stuff stored in the back that we’ve collected over the years. Some of the tents have seen a lot of weddings and parties. We spend a lot of time checking for tears or making sure the ropes are still strong enough. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get dirty and your back gets tired by the end of the day. But people around Basavanagudi know where to find us when they need a setup. We just provide the gear and let people get on with their events. It’s a local business through and through. We don't use fancy computers for everything. Most things are written down in a big ledger. The traffic at the Char Rasta can be a nightmare sometimes when we are trying to move the big trucks. But we manage. That’s just life at the tent house. We’ve been part of this street for a long time now. We might not be the biggest, but we stay busy with all the local gatherings.
