Our little place is tucked away on Bazaar Street in the Chamarajpet area. If you’re looking for us, we are at No. 222, right where 4th Main and 3rd Cross meet up. This part of Bangalore still feels like the old city. It’s not like the newer areas with the big glass buildings and malls; it’s more about narrow streets and small shops. We like it here. Biryani Kitchen is a small operation. We don’t have a big team or anything corporate. It’s just us working in the kitchen and serving whoever comes by. The street outside is always narrow and busy with people buying their daily groceries or just passing through the bazaar. We get a lot of people who live right in the neighborhood. They come in with their own steel containers sometimes or just sit for a quick bite. The building is quite old, and the space inside is a bit cramped, but we make it work for what we need. We spend most of our day prepping in the back. It’s a lot of chopping and stirring big pots over the heat. Sometimes the electricity goes out, or the water delivery is a bit late, and we just have to figure it out as we go. That’s just part of running a small shop in a place like Chamarajpet. We don’t have a fancy menu at all. We just make what we know how to make and hope people enjoy it. It’s a simple life, and we’re happy to be part of the community.
