We are located over in Byrasandra 7th Block, right where Kanakapura Road hits the 1st Block area. Bhuvan Cell Services is just a small counter mostly. We spend the whole day looking through magnifying glasses at tiny little circuit boards and broken screens. People bring in phones that they dropped in water or cracked while they were running for the bus. It’s tedious work because the screws are so small you can barely see them. If you sneeze, you might lose one on the floor. We have chargers and cables hanging everywhere from the walls. The shop is small, so if three people come in at once, it feels crowded. We usually have a cricket match playing on a small TV in the corner while we work. The light is very bright over the workbenches so we don't miss any loose connections. Most days we are just waiting for parts to arrive from the city center. People are always in a hurry to get their phones back because they can’t live without them for even an hour. We try to tell them it takes time to let the glue dry on a new screen, but they don't always listen. It’s a lot of repetitive work, fixing the same brands over and over. Sometimes the soldering iron gets too hot and we have to switch it off for a bit to let it cool down while we grab a tea.
