Bhushan Steel Ltd is located at 401/2 on G T Road in Seshadripuram, Gandhinagar. Being right on such a major road means there is never a moment of silence. The trucks roar past at all hours, and the building actually vibrates a little when the heavy ones go by. It’s a very practical spot for us because of the transport links, but it’s definitely not a quiet or fancy office. The interior is a bit worn out, with some peeling paint and old light fixtures that flicker sometimes. We don't really worry about the decor; we just need a place to sit and manage the steel shipments. The dust from the road gets everywhere, so we are constantly wiping down our keyboards and screens. There’s a small balcony where we can see the traffic jam that usually forms in the evening. Most of the staff has been here for years, and we’ve grown used to the chaos of Gandhinagar. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to work. Lunch usually comes from a small stall nearby that makes decent food for a good price. It’s a very honest, local kind of workplace. There are no big speeches or slogans on the walls, just some old maps and a clock that’s five minutes fast. We keep things moving and don't make a big deal out of it. It’s just our daily routine on G T Road.
