Bhoomi Mobile And Steel

It's an odd mix, having mobile phones and steel in one place here in KR Puram. We are over in Ayyappa Nagar 2nd Block on the 3rd Main. The shop is divided sort of, with the glass cases for the phones on one side and the heavier stuff near the back. The steel rods and sheets take up a lot of room and they are heavy to move around. Then you have these tiny mobile chargers and screen guards on the other side. It’s funny how people come in for a new phone and end up asking about the price of steel per kilo. The shop floor is reinforced because of the weight we keep there. We have a small counter where we handle the phone repairs too at 41. It gets quite noisy when the trucks unload the steel outside. The 3rd Main is usually busy with people going to work. We started out with just one thing and then added the other because why not. It keeps things interesting throughout the day. We have a lot of dust from the road, so we are always wiping down the glass counters. It's just me and a helper most days. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name painted above the shutter. It's a bit of a struggle to keep everything organized, but we manage somehow. We stay open as long as there’s light. Sometimes we just sit on the rolled steel and talk about the neighborhood while waiting for customers. It is a bit cramped inside.
