Bheru Steel House

Walking down Avenue Road, you’ll find us at 330. Bheru Steel House is packed with stainless steel from floor to ceiling. It’s bright inside because of all the metal reflecting the lights. We have pots, pans, plates, and everything else a kitchen might need. People come here when they’re setting up a new house or when their old pressure cooker finally gives up. It gets really loud on Avenue Rd with all the honking and the people walking past, so we often have to shout a bit to be heard. The shop isn't very wide, but it goes back a long way. We spend a lot of time unboxing new shipments and checking for any dents. If a plate has a scratch, it goes into a different pile. Most of our customers are looking for something that will last for years, not something that looks pretty but breaks fast. Steel is good like that; it’s tough. I’ve spent many years looking at these same walls. The neighbors at the other shops are all friends, and we look out for each other when someone needs to step away for a minute. It’s a simple way to spend the day. Sometimes a whole family comes in to pick out a gift for a wedding, and they take their time choosing the right size of containers. We just let them look and answer when they have a question about the weight.
