Bhavani Telecom

Bhavani Telecom is our little shop here in Vidyaranyapura. We’re located at number 8 in the Vidyaranyapura area. It’s a small space, mostly taken up by the glass counter and the racks of accessories behind it. We’ve got mobile phones, chargers, and all those small things people always seem to lose. The shop is on a busy little stretch, so we get a lot of people walking in to ask for directions or to get their phones fixed. It’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. The stool I sit on has a bit of a wobble, and the light flickers if the voltage is low. We spend a lot of time looking at tiny screens and fiddling with small parts. It’s quiet in the mornings, but by evening, the shop is full of people coming home from work. We have a small TV in the corner that we keep on for the news or some cricket. Vidyaranyapura is a nice residential area, so we know most of our customers by name. They come in for a quick recharge or just to chat about the local news. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything; we just put a few posters on the glass. The shop gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front window directly. We just keep the door open and wait for the breeze. It's a simple life running a phone shop, but it keeps us busy every day.
